F1 continues to look to the USA

With the American group Liberty Media at the head of the F1, plans for other American events in the USA are intensifying.

The Review Journal of Las Vegas indicated that Formula One Licensings had filed trademark applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office to obtain sales rights related to a proposed Grand Prix in Las Vegas (Nevada), Miami (Florida) and New York.

“It’s no secret that we’re looking at various cities and we’re looking in the US at Las Vegas, Miami and New York. They are among the many metropolises which have shown their interest in hosting a Grand Prix., confirmed Luca Colajanni, director of the F1 communications office.

Bernie Ecclestone, the previous director of the FOM, had set up a project for a Grand Prix in New York for a first edition which was originally to be held in 2013. Although the work had started, the project ultimately did not take place. successful. The USA has currently hosted F1 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin (Texas) since 2012.
