The organizers of US GP in Austin (Texas) expect disappointing results at the end of the fourth edition of the event marked by terrible weather at the start of the weekend due to Hurricane Patricia having struck Mexico. This is the lowest score recorded among spectators.
« It's a financially devastating weekend for the company. We lost several million (dollars). We also suffer from the fact that some spectators have had such a bad experience that they will not come back, although I hope we can change their minds”, commented Bobby Epstein, director of the Circuit of the Americas, in the Austin American Statesman.
Bobby Epstein clarified that the return of the Mexican GP was also an unfavorable element for the Austin circuit.
