The Mexican GP maintained after the earthquake

The Mexican Grand Prix scheduled for October 29 will be maintained according to the organizers despite the earthquake that hit Mexico last Tuesday.

Rodrigo Sanchez, the event's marketing director, said the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit was spared from the 7,1 magnitude earthquake which left more than 130 dead.

“It has already been inspected twice, from the track surface to the buildings, and everything is OK, declared Rodrigo Sanchez, quoted by Reuters agency. We will continue to make estimates, but we are not worried at the moment. We will have a race. »

The Mexican GP is one of the most influential races of the season, with the last edition welcoming 135 people. The event is supported by the government.

“We're trying to put all the information together so we know how people can help, added Ricardo Sanchez. The important thing is to put everything back in order and be as efficient as possible. If things stay as they are, we will just have to concentrate on our work. »

Sergio Pérez launched a campaign to raise funds to help victims of the earthquake.
