These new dates will therefore arrive a week earlier than in 2022. The Australian Grand Prix took place from April 8 to 10, for the 3rd round of the season after Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Charles Leclerc won there ahead of Sergio Pérez and George Russell. The circuit had undergone modifications beforehand to increase overtaking opportunities., including the removal of turns 9-10 to create a longer straight line.
If the organizers take the liberty of announcing these dates so early, it is also because the place for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne is guaranteed until 2035. New next year: the arrival of the Formula 2 and Formula 3, a first on Australian soil. The 2022 edition of the Grand Prix in Melbourne attracted more than 419 spectators in 000 days, a historic record for a sporting event in Australia.
