Lewis Hamilton: “One of our best Fridays of the year”
Lewis Hamilton was very fast during the first day of free practice at Spa-Francorchamps. 2e of EL1 with soft tires, he took the best time in EL2 on super-soft tires.
« It feels good to be back! I feel like we had one of our best Fridays of the year, enthuses the Briton. The car felt good as soon as we left the pits."
Despite the configuration of the Spa track very favorable to the Silver Arrows and their engine, Hamilton expects a fight in the race with the Ferrari and Red Bull.
« We have made big progress with the settings since the start of FP1, which is very encouraging as a way to start the weekend. It looks tough for the long stints, but we started the weekend in the best possible way. »
If Lewis Hamilton's dominance is undeniable in the dry, there is no indication in the rain which appeared at the end of free practice 2.
