Mallya: the peloton has tightened

Force India was not successful at the Australian Grand Prix. If Nico Hulkenberg took seventh place, his teammate Sergio Pérez only finished in 13th position. The Indian team's race was notably disrupted by the red flag following the accident of Fernando Alonso.

Before the Bahrain GP played on April 3, Force India Team Principal Vijay Mallya nevertheless recalls that the peloton has tightened in the middle of the grid compared to 2015.

“Winter testing has already offered a good indication of what to expect. What is certain is that the grid has never been so competitive in recent years. Four or five teams are fighting on an equal level, which promises great explanations in qualifying and the race. It's only positive for the spectators, it's what the sport needs. I think Melbourne showed that the middle of the grid was the most entertaining in terms of wheel-to-wheel battles.", commented the Indian businessman.
