Marko: RB must return to success with Renault

Following the difficult start to the season Red Bull Racing, relations have calmed somewhat between Red Bull and Renault as evidenced by the possibility of rebadge Toro Rosso in the colors of Viry-Châtillon. If the Red Taurus has difficulty standing out against Mercedes, now in competition with Team Ferrari, the Milton Keynes structure intends to recover with the tricolor Power Unit.

“We make chassis and we ride with them. Our priority is to regain success with Renault. It will be normal to evaluate alternatives if this does not happen”, insists Dr. Helmut Marko, advisor to Red Bull Racing, on the official F1 website, who does not forget the four Drivers' and Manufacturers' world titles collected with the V8 at the Diamond between 2010 and 2013.

The head of the Red Bull Junior Team deplores the results of Red Bull Racing but does not explain the reasons for the better performances of Toro Rosso also powered by the Renault Power Unit. “We have had some superb years and it was all the more unpredictable to have such a difficult start to the 2014 season...We are 6th in the Constructors' Championship, behind our second team (Toro Rosso)... Viruses promised us to significantly improve performances during the season... But this comes a year and a half late... Toro Rosso should be 5th and Red Bull Racing 3rd... We can say that "things are going well for this season" with the handicap that we have, but we cannot be satisfied with this situation in the medium term. »
