McLaren changes elements for Vandoorne

McLaren-Honda still had to change several elements on Stoffel Vandoorne's MCL32 before the start of the Spanish GP.

The Woking team changed the energy recovery system and the electronic control system at the end of qualifying, which implies a penalty of 10 places on the grid of the Catalunya circuit for the Belgian. The former GP2 champion will not be too penalized since he only loses one place, going from 19th to 20th place in favor of Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso).

If Stoffel Vandoorne's weekend promises to be difficult, McLaren-Honda's hopes rest on Fernando Alonso who took 7th position on the grid for his national Grand Prix.
