McLaren has not decided anything for its drivers for 2015

McLaren will be one of the most watched teams next year. The reason ? The highly anticipated return of the Honda engine manufacturer, to reform the famous duo of the late 1980s – early 1990s, with the duels Cheers-Senna and the world titles in succession for Ron Dennis’s team. Beyond this association which has caused a lot of ink to flow since its formalization, the question will arise of the drivers who will compete on the future Woking MP4, powered by the Japanese turbo/hybrid V6. On this side, McLaren does not seem in a hurry to make its decision, even if Jenson Button's contract ends at the end of this season.

“That’s a question I can’t answer yes or no. explains Competition Director Eric Boullier, when asked about the Englishman's extension or not. We are lucky to have two drivers who really want to invest in the future. We have contractual options that we can play, so we are in no hurry to decide on our dui for next year. We evaluate each strategy for the future. » concludes the Frenchman.

Since the departure of Lewis Hamilton at the end of 2012, Sergio Pérez, now with Force India, then the Dane Kevin Magnussen took turns to replace the 2008 World Champion alongside Jenson Button.
