Mercedes will bring aero developments to Shanghai

The series of eight consecutive victories in F1 for Mercedes ended in Malaysia on March 29 when Sebastian Vettel imposed his Ferrari SF15-T on the Sepang track. Beaten by the Team, the reigning world champion team is counting on this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix to re-establish the hierarchy and believes it will be able to offer Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg a more efficient W06 Hybrid.

“It is now more clear than ever that there is real competition for this world championship, proclaims Paddy Lowe, Executive Director in charge of technology. So we will continue to work hard to achieve performance gains. We have several new aerodynamic developments for Shanghai and we are aiming for increased performance compared to Malaysia. »

“We left Malaysia with many things to think about, explains on his side Toto wolff, boss of Mercedes Motorsport. It may have been a good result for the sport, but for us it's a wake-up call. This is not something we can let happen on a regular basis. We will carefully study areas where we can improve. »
