Mercedes has become the latest team to announce the launch date of its future car de Formula 1.

The future W14 E Performance will be presented on February 15, 2023, one day after the Ferrari 2023 and one day beforeAlpine A523, during an event which will be broadcast live via streaming from Silverstone (UK).

Entrusted to the expert hands of Sir Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, the W14 E Performance will have the mission of making us forget the disappointing W13, Brackley's first non-titled single-seater in the hybrid era, since 2014.

Having started with a frankly radical zero-pontoon concept to negotiate the 2022 regulatory upheaval, the eight-time world champions were immediately disillusioned, victims of severe porpoising and sluggish performances.

But, true to their nature and carried by their skills, the men of Toto wolff were able to raise the bar to finish 3rd in the Constructors' championship, hot on the heels of Ferrari.

As Russell and Hamilton battled with the Alpine, McLaren, even the Alpha Tauri and Williams At the start of 2022, Mercedes finished with a bang with 17 podiums, including a resounding double at the Brazilian Grand Prix last November.

Equipped with the most homogeneous pair of drivers on the field, the German manufacturer will be keen to regain its rank this season. A scenario which will largely depend on the performance of this new W14 E Performance, which should not stray that far from the aerodynamic concept introduced last year.
