Mercedes and Nico Rosberg completed a series of laps at Jerez

Si Mercedes did not trust the top of the timesheet (best time for Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari) at the end of this first day of winter testing at Jerez in Spain, Nico Rosberg's W06 Hybrid, on track this Sunday, completed a significant number of laps with 157 loops for the German pilot.

“In the beginning, reliability counts and we managed to do a lot of kilometers today, confesses the vice-world champion. The people at the factory built a new car that works perfectly when they got here, so the team did an incredible job over the winter. I was able to do good long runs from the first day and it’s really incredible. As a racing driver you always want to check where you are in terms of speed compared to others, but that has to wait until qualifying in Melbourne. The next few days will be used to make sure we understand the car. We're off to a good start. »
