Mike O'Driscoll announces plans to leave Williams

Arriving in 2011 as a non-executive director within the Grove outfit, Mike O'Driscoll operated as executive director of the group Williams Grand Prix Engineering since June 2013.

A position that the native of Coventry will soon leave, as announced this Tuesday in a brief press release. A decision which follows the takeover of the team founded by Sir Frank Williams by the Americans Dorilton Capital, and the departure of the Williams family on the evening of the last Italian Grand Prix.

“Being part of this great team has been and remains a huge privilege,” comments O’Driscoll. I am proud to have played my part in securing the long-term future of Williams and look forward to working closely with Matthew and his team, to ensure a smooth transition and the best possible trajectory for the future success of the team. »

Mike O'Driscoll will in fact ensure the transition at the end of 2020 before completely handing over the reins of the structure.
