Nico Hulkenberg is back in Formula 1. Confirmed by Haas instead of Mick Schumacher For next season, the German discovered the VF-22 in Abu Dhabi, during post-season testing.

The former runner Williams, Force India, Sauber, Renault, and Aston Martin finished the day with the 19th fastest time of the 24 drivers in action at Yas Marina. Hülkenberg also completed 110 laps for his return to the wheel.

“It was a good day's work, we rode well, we collected a lot of data and impressions, which was the goal, explains Nico Hülkenberg. We successfully completed our program. There is a lot to dissect, digest and analyze over the next two weeks with the team. It was mainly about knowing the tires for 2023, learning their characteristics. »

“These days give us time to try new things, continues the new driver of the American team. I am satisfied and happy with this day. There was a bit of fatigue at the end, but I did better than expected to be honest. I now have three months of hard preparation to be ready, I have a plan and I know what I need to do. »
