Nico Rosberg did not give up at the Brazilian GP

If victory was not easy to achieve at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg has the satisfaction of putting an end to his rival's series of successes Lewis Hamilton and to return to 17 points behind the Championship leader before the final played in Abu Dhabi on November 23. The German was constantly put under pressure by his teammate but did not make the slightest mistake at the end of a weekend where he was the fastest each time.

Nico Rosberg can thus turn the page on the US GP where he easily gave in to his opponent for the title while he was leading the race. “Austin was tough for me and I had to improve”, commented the winner who won his fifth victory of the season, the eighth of his career. “I wasn't good enough in the USA but I managed to do it this time. I am happy to have learned from this experience. This is a step in the right direction. »

Despite this success, Nico Rosberg is aware that Lewis Hamilton has a good advantage in the fight for the title. “ Everything remains to be played. I have to stay on this trend. But I know it will be complicated because Lewis will be assured of the title with a second place and that is an achievable goal for him. I'll need him to help me a little. »
