Nico Rosberg extends with Mercedes

Tipped to replace Felipe Massa at Ferrari, Nico Rosberg will ultimately stay with Mercedes. The contract guarantees the German a starting place at least until the end of 2013.

Nico Rosberg has just extended his contract with Mercedes until the end of the 2013 season. The star manufacturer thus puts an end to speculation announcing a replacement for Felipe Massa at Ferrari by the German. Arriving at the team's training in 2010, the teammate of Michael Schumacher could even stay with the team longer, with the contract stipulating that he should be there "until the end of 2013 and beyond."
