Our opinion on the Netflix documentary “Schumacher”

Through never-before-seen archive images, but also exclusive and poignant interviews, notably with members of the Schumacher family, the eponymous Netflix documentary (available since September 15) paints the portrait of the immense champion, but also that of 'a devoted family man. A success.

The mention the reference " family approved documentary Schumacher » could have suggested that we were in the presence of a hagiographic and consensual film where agreed formulas and complacent testimonies follow one another. Available September 15 on Netflix, the film Schumacher avoid this pitfall. Certainly, the tone is generally benevolent, and certain controversial episodes in the career of the Red Baron are not mentioned (Austria 2002, Monaco 2006 for example).
