The engine manufacturer Honda has brought an evolution of its V6 Turbo hybrid unit, called “Spec 4”. “As always, we focused on reliability and performance,” explains Honda F1 Technical Director Toyoharu Tanabe. For strategic reasons, only Albon and Kvyat will benefit. »
Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) will compete in the Ardennes with the old version of the engine, before probably adopting the Spec 4 at the Italian Grand Prix (September 6-8).
