No fracture for Grosjean who will spend the night under observation

The team Haas and the FIA gave reassuring news of Romain Grosjean after the terrible accident which the Frenchman suffered at the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix this Sunday.

Trapped in a car cut in two and surrounded by flames following an incredible impact of 53G and at 221 km/h with the safety barriers located at the exit of turn 3, Grosjean managed to escape miraculously from the blaze to land in the arms of the FIA medical team.

Sent directly to the circuit's medical center, the Genevan was then transported to the Bahrain Military Hospital (Bahrain Defense Force Hospital) to undergo more in-depth checks. The latter did not reveal any fracture but Grosjean will remain under observation overnight to be treated for burns suffered on the back of his hands.

No details have been given regarding his presence at the Sakhir Grand Prix next Sunday.

Grojean even published a video on social networks to indicate that he was doing well and to emphasize the importance of the halo in particular. “ I wasn't in favor of Halo a few years ago but I think it's the best thing we could have introduced in Formula 1, said the Haas driver. Without him, I wouldn't be able to talk to you today ».
