“I think we will have 19 Grands Prix next year, it will not be a problem for the F1 » had announced Bernie Ecclestone in December. It is now done. The big financier of Formula 1 announced to the Reuters press agency that the 2013 calendar will not pass through Turkey.
Initially, this season's calendar included 20 races, a new one of which was to be held in New Jersey, in the United States, with New York City as a backdrop. Due to delays in the work, this new event has been postponed to 2014. As a result, the FIA changed the date of the German Grand Prix in order to add an additional race, probably in Europe. After some rumors reporting a return of the French Grand Prix, it was ultimately Turkey which was favored. Due to a lack of budget on the part of the organizers, F1 will ultimately not make its return to Istanbul and the 2013 calendar will include one event less than in 2012.
