The F1 Current models use 13″ wheels. A size poorly suited to production vehicles, which hampers Michelin's return to the premier discipline of motorsport. The French brand indicated last August that if the single-seaters switched to 18″ tires, it would be a good argument to return to equip the current F1 cars.
Pirelli, which will test these famous tires tomorrow at Silverstone as part of the private tests taking place today in England, has revealed their aesthetic rendering. It is the Lotus F1 Team which will have the honor of releasing this new feature. Remember that the new world championship of Formula E which will begin next September, will already put these rims on the track. Paul Hembery, boss of Pirelli, however explained that the arrival of such a product would not happen for at least two seasons.
