Pirelli has made its choice for the Australian GP

Pirelli has revealed its tire list for the Australian Grand Prix on March 20, which will kick off the 2016 season. F1. The Italian manufacturer has retained its medium, soft and super soft rubbers.

The discipline's supplier must also choose two sets of tires used during the race, the Italian brand has chosen the medium and soft tires. Each driver must use at least one of the two sets of tires chosen by Pirelli.

The super soft compound was selected for Q3. From now on, drivers participating in the last qualifying session will have to return the set of tires last used to qualify after having kept a set of the softest tires in the range offered by Pirelli. The drivers will be free to choose the ten other sets of tires from the 13 available for the weekend.

The teams will have to make their selection eight weeks before a European race and 14 weeks for the other Grands Prix. Their choice will remain secret until 15 days before the race.
