Between today's roads and circuits, there is only one step and that Red Bull understood it very well. After accumulating victories, Drivers and Teams titles, the Austrian manufacturer decided to embark on a completely new challenge: that of the production car. Thus, the Red Bull firm announced the upcoming arrival of the RB17, the very first production car produced by the Red Bull Racing Group.

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (the high-performance engineering arm of Red Bull Racing Group) revealed this Tuesday the first information regarding its “ first hypercar project designed, developed and manufactured entirely in-house. » At the helm, we find nothing less than Adrian Newey, technical director of Red Bull and Red Bull Advanced Technologies and great architect of the golden era of the team in F1 with Sebastian Vettel (2010-2013). During these four years, the team has always been crowned among the Drivers and the Teams.

The RB17 is “ is a two-seater hypercar optimized for the ultimate track driving experience ". Red Bull, which plans to launch production in 2025 at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes, has announced that only 50 RB17s will be built for a price starting at 5 million pounds, or almost 5,8 million euros, in addition to “local taxes”. Note that Red Bull has only revealed a simple illustration for the moment while awaiting the official presentation of its RB17.

Regarding the engine, Red Bull intends to offer its RB17 a hybrid V8 which will give it more power than 1.110 horsepower. The Austrian Hypercar is inspired by F1 since it “ is named after the cars used in the world's most demanding and technically advanced motorsport series. Designed around a carbon composite chassis, the RB17 features the most developed ground effect system » for a production car. The now production car manufacturer plans to reveal all the technical details of the RB17 “ on time ».
