Rosberg: “It won’t be easy for Bottas”

Nico Rosberg was delighted by the choice of Valtteri Bottas to replace him at Mercedes. The reigning world champion is eager to see him pit himself against Lewis Hamilton even though he expects a tough challenge for the Finn.

Nico Rosberg was invited to comment on the arrival of Valtteri Bottas at Mercedes who comes to replace him after the reigning world champion announced his retirement at the end of the 2016 season.

“This is great news for the team, declared Nico Rosberg during the event organized in Geneva (Switzerland) where he officiates as ambassador of Mercedes. I'm glad they were able to find the solution relatively quickly. I'm sure he will do a great job and fit in well. »

If Nico Rosberg hopes to see some good battles between the two Mercedes drivers, the German will perhaps have a preference for his former opponent so that his title is not devalued.

“I will follow the F1 on TV observing how Valtteri is doing, especially against Lewis because he constitutes an incredible reference. He is one of the best drivers on the grid and even of all time. It will clearly not be easy for Bottas and it promises to be interesting to follow.", he added.
