As expected since last summer, Sebastian Vettel retired this Sunday from Abu Dhabi. With a total of 299 starts, the four-time German world champion (titled from 2010 to 2013 with Red Bull) thus puts an end to an exceptional career, which began very early in 2007 with BMW-Sauber, when he was only 19 years old scoring a point! His raw talent, his speed and his enthusiasm were quickly spotted by the fold Red Bull Racing. Revealed by Toro Rosso, he exploded in the eyes of the whole world by becoming the youngest pole sitter and Grand Prix winner at Monza, in 2008, before joining the parent team, for whom he would have the best years. Then left for Ferrari, he alternates between the good and the less good, but nevertheless manages to hold his own Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) while fighting for the world title.

After failing to reach an agreement with the Scuderia to renew his contract beyond the 2020 season, Sebastian Vettel found refuge with Aston Martin, but the adventure will ultimately only last two seasons. Time for him to achieve two podiums (Azerbaijan and Hungary, even if he was ultimately downgraded in Budapest).
