Sergio Pérez: I want more podiums in 2015

The Mexican Sergio Pérez will lead the future VJM08, whose livery has been revealed last Wednesday in his native Mexico City, for his second campaign with Vijay Mallya's team. A situation which will facilitate the start of the championship according to the former resident of the team McLaren.

“There was a lot to learn at the beginning (in 2014), because it was a new team, and there were the new regulations. It took me a little while to establish myself in the team. This will be my second year with this team, which will make things easier. I'm pretty relaxed about 2015. The rules haven't changed and I think we'll take advantage of that, because it means the development we started last year can continue and we don't have to start from scratch again. At the end of the season I felt really confident in the car and I want to continue that momentum. I want to get more podiums in 2015.” explains the 24-year-old driver who will be able to compete at home on the Hermanos Rodriguez route in Mexico this year, November 1st.

The VJM08 will not be on track during the first winter tests of Jérez which will begin on February 1, with Force India fielding its VJM07.
