Silverstone: Grosjean will miss FP2 after his exit

The British GP weekend gets off to a bad start for Romain Grosjean. While he was on a flying lap during the first free practice session at Silverstone, the driver Haas lost control of the VF18 by failing to close the DRS entering the first corner. The sanction was immediate with an exit from the track which ended in the tire wall.

Although the first reports showed a break in the suspension, the damage ultimately seems more serious than expected. The Team Principal of the American team Günther Steiner confirmed in the paddock that Romain Grosjean would not be able to return to the track this Friday, the mechanics being forced to change the chassis.

If Romain Grosjean had a bad start to the season, he made up for it last weekend by offering the best result for Haas F1 Team with a fourth place taken at the Austrian GP on the Red Bull ring.
