Early risers should be rewarded this Sunday morning. Suzuka is considered by drivers to be one of the most beautiful tracks of the season, and often offers suspenseful races. Mercedes hopes that the 2019 edition will not deviate from the rule since Lewis Hamilton et Valtteri Bottas have their work cut out for them if they want to get ahead of the dominatrixes Ferrari.

The only circuit in the shape of an eight, Suzuka is a challenge in a way that contemporary infrastructures no longer offer, with an impressive proximity to the grass at the edge of the track in most of the turns. This characteristic also trapped several drivers during qualifying on Sunday morning, such as Robert Kubica (Williams).
