After a first day of testing in the presence of the rookies, the pilots of Formula 1 were back on the Yas Marina circuit this Wednesday to race with single-seaters equipped with 18-inch Pirelli tires which will come into effect next season. There were only 10 of them leaving the pits and it was George Russell who stood out by setting the best time (1'26″404). The pilot Mercedes is also the one who completed the most laps (75), tied with Guanyu-Zhou, to get used to his new car.
The Briton is ahead Carlos Sainz (1’26″706) and Lando Norris (1’26″736). Robert Shwartzman at the wheel of the Haas and who replaced Mick Schumacher came in 4th position with a time of 1'26″980. Sebastian Vettel completes the top 5 (1'27″133).

Fernando Alonso (1'28″785), Guanyu Zhou who drove for the 2nd day in a row (1'29″003) and Sergio Perez (1'29″040) bring up the rear. Note that the stable Williams does not yet have a single-seater capable of using its new tires and has not taken part in its Pirelli tests. This Wednesday afternoon, the Formula 1 drivers will race for the last time of the year.
A strong showing from both drivers after a couple of hours in the car this morning 💪🏻
