Toyota without buyer

Unlike the Honda team, taken over by Ross Brawn last winter, John Howett confides that the team from which Toyota is withdrawing has little chance of experiencing the same fate.

Toyota withdraw from the Formula 1 and the Cologne team should not be far from old. Unlike the team of Brackley, dropped at the end of 2008 by Honda and taken over by Ross Brawn, the former Toyota team should not suffer the same fate. Asked by the Times about the sale of the team by the Japanese manufacturer, John Howett was pessimistic.

« I think that this has already been considered and that the option has been ruled out. », confides the president of the team. “ Perhaps the subject will be debated again but, for the moment, it seems not. » The future is therefore more than gloomy for the team based in Cologne.
