A French Grand Prix in sight for 2018

Since 2008 and the victory of Felipe Massa, then pilot Ferrari, on the Magny-Cours route (Nièvre), France is deprived of the Grand Prix of F1. Several projects, particularly near Paris, had been imagined for a while, but without success.

A project for a test on the Paul-Ricard circuit in the Var, supported in particular by the president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region Christian Estrosi, seems to have come to fruition.

The period at the end of August - beginning of September 2018 would have been chosen for this return of F1 to France, with a five-year contract. A press conference must be held this Monday, December 5 in Paris at the Automobile Club de France to present the French Grand Prix at Paul-Ricard.
