An archaeological site in Flins

Clearly, the Flins site – intended to host a circuit to organize the future French Grand Prix according to a project presented this year – is accumulating bad news. Archaeological remains have just been discovered there.

After the demonstrations by local residents, the reservations of environmentalists concerning possible pollution and the political tensions, it is the archaeologists who are speaking out. A 15-year-old site described as “highly important” has just been discovered on the site of the possible construction site.

According to initial analyses, the state of conservation of the homes is exceptional but could not prevent the construction of the circuit nearby.
