Vergne: “The STR9, a good single-seater”

A reasonable number of laps over these last four days of testing in Bahrain. Here is the summary from Franz Tost, Team Principal of Toro Rosso. For his driver Jean-Eric Vergne, the feeling with the car is good, and hopes are justified. “The last twelve days have been very interesting in many ways. This Sunday was positive and we did a good job, especially in the morning when we managed to do everything we planned to do. » explains the Frenchman.

“This afternoon was a little more complicated, but we still managed to get some mileage in race setup and we learned a lot. I had a very good feeling from the car today. These winter tests have not been easy, but we are not the only ones to have suffered. Even if there is no more testing, I know the team can work hard with our partners and resolve most of these questions in time for Melbourne. The really positive thing is that I feel like I have a good car, so once everything is sorted I'm sure we can be strong in the race.
