Vettel: 18 races to keep our titles

Sebastian Vettel had lost his nerves at the end of the Malaysian Grand Prix by losing his temper against Narain Karthikeyan after failing to score points. The reigning double world champion only occupies sixth place in the Championship, 17 points behind the leader Fernando Alonso while Red Bull Racing is 13 points behind in the Manufacturers' Championship by McLaren. If the start of the season for the Austrian team is not idyllic, doubts about the true potential of the teams still exist. The German intends to recover from the Shanghai event and displays renewed confidence after this intense start to the season.

The Red Bull driver emphasizes that the season is still long and that the main thing remains that the RB8 displays performance allowing it to fight at the front. “After a few days of rest, I returned to Milton Keynes to work with the team on the car », commented Sebastian Vettel. “I have to admit that the first two races weren't exactly perfect, but they weren't too bad either. We have proven that we are able to fight among the strongest teams and that is what counts. My bad luck in Malaysia didn't help, but that's how the F1 works. We now have 18 races ahead of us and we will do everything to defend our titles. I have absolute confidence in the team, in the car and in myself. We still have a lot to do, but as a team we can achieve anything. »
