Vettel: “I was missing a lap! »

Starting from the front line, Sebastian Vettel had a difficult Grand Prix with a touch at the start with Max Verstappen which damaged his front wing and forced him to change strategy. The four-time world champion regrets not having been able to take full advantage of his car :

“The car was good, he comments. I definitely think we could have done better than fourth, but that's our finishing position and what's done is done. Overall we know we have a good car."

Proof that his car was working, the driver Ferrari had opted for an aggressive two-stop strategy allowing him to catch up with the Force Indias battling for the podium with Daniel Ricciardo.

« We decided to try something which worked in the end, but think we were one lap short of reaching the podium. »
