Vettel struggled with his direction

Sebastian Vettel signed his fourth victory of the season by winning the Hungarian GP against his teammate Kimi Räikkönen. If the four-time world champion kept the advantage in the race, he constantly remained under pressure from the Finn while the German suffered from steering problems.

“I’m over the moon. It was a very difficult race although it may not have seemed like it. Something wasn't working. The steering wheel was not straight and the phenomenon was getting worse. I stayed away from vibrators in order to preserve the car. It was especially disturbing in the left turns, but I was able to get used to it after a few laps.", commented Sebastian Vettel.

Sebastian Vettel might have lost the victory if Kimi Räikkönen had been able to extend his first stint and if he had not been slowed down by the Williams by Paul di Resta from whom he took a turn.

“It wasn’t easy. I didn't do Kimi any favors even though he was much faster than me most of the time in this race. admitted Sebastian Vettel.

Sebastian Vettel now has a 14-point lead over Lewis Hamilton who made the choice to let his teammate pass Valtteri Bottas before the finish line.
