Vettel acknowledges existence of 'informal discussions' with Racing Point

After several days of persistent rumors which send him to Racing Point in 2021, Sebastian Vettel will not have said too much on the subject which interested everyone ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

A little before him, Sergio Pérez, which the same rumors announce on the departure to make way for the quadruple German world champion, had repeated several times that he had a contract with the future Aston Martin team.

“Rumors are just rumors, that’s their definition, Vettel first reacted. Not much has changed since the last race in Austria. There is nothing new to report. Everyone is talking about Racing Point. They were impressive over the first 2 weekends of competition.

And as I said the last time I spoke on the subject, it will take time for me to make the right decision for myself.

When I have something to announce, I will do it. At this point, the situation is still open. Will I drive next year? Will I take a year off before coming back? Or will I end my career? I do not know ".

Relaunched several times about possible contacts with Racing Point, Vettel ended up mentioning “informal discussions” with the Silverstone team.
