Vettel: Focus on work for 2017

2017 should mark the end of the current contract of Sebastian Vettel with the Team Ferrari, the former resident of Red Bull Racing having signed a first lease with the Italian team at the end of 2014.

As the end of the championship draws near, no information has leaked on a possible renewal of Vettel at Maranello beyond 2017. A situation which does not seem to worry the main party unduly.

“We're all very busy at the moment with the remaining four races, and particularly focused on preparing for 2017. I think that's where the main focus should be.

I don't think it's important to delve into details like my contract. Everything is in order for next year. With all the things going on at the plant, I know we're very busy on this side, and that's where I want the focus to be. »

The German also believes that a chance of victory remains possible in the last four races of the season. “In Japan, we clearly made progress, so that was positive, but that was said (fast car without materializing), it was a good summary of our season.

The most important thing is that we fight, we give everything we have, and it could have been better in Japan. That hasn't been the case, and we're ready for this race. »
