Webber doubts the real interest of the season

After a 2011 season where Sebastian Vettel et Red Bull quickly killed any hope for the competitors, the 2012 season seems to be a breath of fresh air where the winner of the weekend becomes particularly difficult to determine. Pastor Maldonado's victory with Williams at the last Spanish Grand Prix clearly marks this trend and drivers of the caliber of Lewis Hamilton or Mark Webber are still waiting for their first success this year.

However, the Australian does not seem convinced that this uncertainty is beneficial for the discipline. “It’s really tight at the front, the first five or six drivers are not separated by many points”, comments the Red Bull driver on sportal.com.au. “It is very unusual because we generally know at this point in the season who is able to challenge for the Championship, but it is currently very difficult to know which drivers and teams will be in the best position in the three or four next races. I think it's interesting for the spectators but I don't know if they won't be sick of seeing so many different winners. It's good to have different winners but it's always a good thing to also have duels and drivers fighting for the Championship. Let's wait, maybe some fights will emerge towards the end. »
