Williams: Hülkenberg impatient

Nico Hulkenberg, engaged with Rubens Barrichello by Williams in order to replace Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima, will take the next step F1. Champion of F3 Euro Series in 2008 and GP2 Series in 2009, the German driver moved to the premier single-seater category within the Grove team.

« I'm quite eager and very excited to race for Williams, confides the German pilot. I was a test pilot for two years and I know everyone well now. I also worked a lot at the factory this year, in the materials, aerospace and sub-assembly sectors. The atmosphere within the structure is really good. I'm now in a racing seat and I'm really looking forward to next year. »

After two years as a test driver, Hülkenberg got down to business, having proven himself in other single-seater categories. For Formula 1, the young German has reasonable goals. “ I just want to be consistent and do a good job for the team. I would like to have some good races and score points. »

Hardworking, very involved with Williams since his beginnings as a test driver, the GP2 Series champion will be able to toughen up during winter testing. “ I will try the 32 FW2010 during the first tests in February, but I will definitely do the tests for young drivers in December in Jerez. »
