24H Nürburgring – Audi in its Green Hell garden

2012, 2014 and 2015, Audi remains on three prestigious successes in the last four editions of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. A domination acquired thanks to the iterations of its R8, first LMS ultra then LMS last year (victory for Team WRT) for the debut of its new mount on the double clock tour in the Green Hell.

If the firm with the rings had indicated reducing its official support, with only two cars badged Audi Sport, one for Team WRT entrusted to the crew Pierre Kaffer – Christopher Mies – Nico Müller – Laurens Vanthoor (the last three cities having won in 2015), and the other for Team Phoenix, winner in 2014, and the quartet Christopher Haase – René Rast – Frank Stippler – Markus Winkelhock, it will definitely be one of the favorites of this 2016 edition.

Seven other R8 LMS will be entered by Team WRT, Phoenix Racing, Twin Busch Motorsport, montaplast by Land-Motorsport which will field a high-flying crew with Marc Basseng, Connor De Phillippi, Mike Rockenfeller and Timo Scheider), Car Collection Motorsport and two examples under the Audi race experience banner.
