33 cars expected in FFSA GT

We take the same and start again ? If we take the quantity, the list of entrants of the FFSAGT revealed is almost a true copy of last season, with 33 cars expected at Nogaro for the season opener (April 3 to 5). Nor should you look for any change among the brands represented. Audi, BMW, Alpine, Mercedes, Toyota, Aston Martin and Ginetta will scrap together for another year.

In Pro-Am, few modifications also. The new features come from the registration of the JSB Competition who will field an Aston Martin in the hands of Julien Briché and Jean-Laurent Navarro, and that of the Spanish team NM Racing Team. Christopher Campbell and Lluc Ibanez will want to create a surprise.

The favorites should once again be Fabien Michal and Grégory Guilvert, who will aim for a fourth consecutive title at the wheel of the Saintéloc Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4. They will face their runners-up from the 2020 opus, Nicolas Gomar and Mike Parisy (Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 n°89 – AGS Events). At the house of Alpine, let's mention the new Nicolas duos Cheers – Rudy Servol for CMR and Rodolphe Wallgren – Gaël Castelli for Mirage Racing. Mercedes will count on the eternal Jim Pla-Jean-Luc Beaubelique (AKKA-ASP) and the CD Sport crew, Edouard Cauhaupé and Jean-Ludovic Foubert.

The eyes of the curious will instead be drawn towards the Silver Cup which offers an almost complete renewal with very young pilots. Matéo Herrero (18 years old), will share a Alpine of CMR with the experienced Stéphane Lémeret. Coming from Formula 4 France, Romain Leroux (18 years old) will be associated with Valentin Hasse-Clot in the No. 4 AGS Events Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT007.

Leroux's opponent in F4 last year, Loris Cabirou (16 years old) joins the reigning Am champion, Wilfried Cazalbon in the CMR Toyota GR Supra GT4. The other Japanese in the Alès team will be entrusted to the young Belgian Antoine Potty (17 years old) and Erwan Bastard, who is also moving from the Am class to the Silver category.

After his debut at Alpine last year, Paul Evrard will be associated with Timothé Buret at AKKA-ASP. Sébastien Baud and Enzo Joulié (16 years old) will ride for CD Sport.

In the Am category, Christophe Hamon and Pascal Huteau (Audi – Full Motorsport) will start favorites facing around ten opponents including two new teams. K-Worx Racing will field the only Ginetta (Nelson Lukes – Benoit Castagné) while Espace Racing will run the only BMW (Christian Philippon – Franck Labescat).
