The Honda NSX-GT were untouchable this Sunday in Motegi. Five cars monopolizing the top 5 at the finish, and an uncontested victory for the tandem Nirei Fukuzumi – Tomoki Nojiri.
After overtaking the leader and pole sitter Hiroki Otsu (Honda NSX-GT – Nakajima Racing-), Tomoki Nojiri built up a solid lead before giving way to his teammate Nirei Fukuzumi. A stop made, as for the Nakajima Racing car , before the intervention of the safety car, to evacuate a GT300.
Most of the rivals of the two leading cars will then have to wait after the safety car returns to observe their change of drivers, giving a clear lead to ARTA and Nakajima Racing, who finally finish in that order under the checkered flag.
Tadasuke Makino and Naoki Yamamoto complete the podium with the Honda NSX-GT – Team Kunimitsu. The pairs Sasahara – Mutoh (Team Mugen) and Baguette – Tsukakoshi (Real Racing) materialize the top 5 100% Honda, Bertrand Baguette and Koudai Tsukakoshi taking the opportunity to take the advantage in the championship.
The best Toyota GR Supra GT500, example n°37 of Team Tom's from Hirakawa – Yamashita takes 6th place ahead of the first Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500 – Team Motul of Ronnie Quintarelli and Tsugio Matsuda.
Sacha Fenestraz and Yuhi Sekiguchi (Toyota – Team Tom's) finished 13th. Joao Paulo de Oliveira and Kiyoto Fujinami impose their Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 – Kondo Racing in GT300.
