Audi reaffirms its commitment to GT3

This year, Audi intends to continue its international program through customer teams. The German manufacturer will be present in the Intercontinental GT Challenge for the sixth consecutive year.

Dethroned by BMW in 2020, Audi also intends to return to success at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring with a 13th consecutive participation.

« After a demanding 2020 season for global motorsport, we are making a statement and committing early to a major international program in 2021, underlines Chris Reinke, head of customer competition at Audi Sport. The Intercontinental GT Challenge, the most prestigious GT3 series in the world, is at the heart of this program, as is the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. ».

Audi has also confirmed its presence at the FIA ​​Motorsport Games, scheduled for next October at Paul Ricard, as well as at the Macau Grand Prix in November.

Mattia Drudi, Rahel Frey, Christopher Haase, Pierre Kaffer, Kelvin van der Linde, Christopher Mies, Patric Niederhauser, Frank Stippler, Dries Vanthoor, Frédéric Vervisch and Markus Winkelhock are part of the Audi fold this year.

Young Dennis Marschall and Charles Weerts will have the chance to participate in certain events with the brand with the rings. The pilots of DTM Mike Rockenfeller, René Rast and Nico Müller will also be lined up during the year.
