Audi Sport should be “conservative” with the R8 LMS GT3 Evo

Launched in 2015, the current version of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 will see its replacement arrive on international circuits in 2019. Already seen in testing at Monza in Italy a few weeks ago, the Evo version continues its development, Audi Sport remaining relatively discreet on the new features specifically introduced.

Asked on the sidelines of the 24 Hours of Spa about this Evo, Chris Reinke, boss of Audi Sport Customer Racing, told us that the 8 R2019 would not change the philosophy of the car.

“We always want to improve the product, Reinke says. The R8 LMS is proven and victorious. One part of our philosophy is to maintain cost control. On the future Evo, I think we will be rather conservative.

We don't have much to change but there is always potential to make things even better. And that's what we're looking for. »

“I also hope for commitments outside Europe. » also indicated Chris Reinke.
