Armindo debuts an Audi R8 GT3

A good start in 2002 in Formula Campus (3rd), then a very good first season of FR 2.0 at ASM as a team with simon pagenaud and Alex Prémat, titled Champion that year and the day Nicolas won his first victory at Magny-Cours. After an unsuccessful start F3 at the end of the 2003 season with Saulnier Racing, and faced with the difficulty of finding the budgets to continue car, le petit gars de Colmar comprend que son avenir est en Allemagne. Il trouve un volant en Porsche Carrera Cup pour 2004. Vice-Champion en 2005 avec Araxa, il en est devient l?une des jeunes stars, au point de concourir aussi en Supercup Porsche en prologue des Grand Prix F1. Armindo has 4 Carrera Cup victories to his name, but also 2 others in the Supercup, and he has successively raced with the Land, Araxa, Tolimit and Konrad teams.

For this season, he has just been enlisted by Team Rosberg to debut one of the new Audi R8 LMS in the ADAC GT Masters this Easter weekend. Armindo shares his mount with the Portuguese Cesar Campaniço and the duo twice took 6th place during the two opening races at Oschersleben. They even led at the start of the first round before receiving a stop & go, for having made a mistake during a pit stop.

Note that the Audi R8 LMS GT3, just before this first event, had additional weight, a reduction in power and a narrower and higher rear wing imposed on them. Of the four Audis at the start, the best ranked over the two races was that of Phoenix Racing, 4th and 5th with Michael Outzen and Henri Moser.
