Audi has just delivered its first new R8 LMS ultra to its customer teams. The manufacturer with the rings will have to deliver 20 models before the end of April.

Audi delivers its first R8 LMS ultra

Audi has delivered its first R8 LMS ultra to its customer teams Mamerow Racing and Prosperia, while two other models have left for Japan. Mamerow Racing will be represented this year in VLN, at the GT-Masters and at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. After winning 119 races in the different disciplines of?Endurance, the R8 LMS bows out after three years spent on the circuits. The manufacturer with the rings will be represented in GT World with its replacement through Team WRT, which has a 10hp V570. The new GT3 is sold at a price of 329 euros excluding taxes.

Romolo Liebchen, director of Audi Sport's Customer Competitions department, is delighted to see this project come to fruition. “We are delighted with the reception given to our racing car on the GT3 scene, which will take on considerable importance this season on the international scene (including GT World). We are pleased to welcome Mamerow Racing as a new member to the Audi community. This team has played a leading role at the Nordschleife for several years. Prosperia will receive its second R8 LMS very soon. Other teams, which have been racing with other manufacturers until now, will follow in the coming weeks. »
