The domination of Marc VDS Racing seems to annoy Audi, which has decided to work extra hard for the 24 Hours of Spa contested at the end of next month. The manufacturer with the rings will field four R8 LMS. Team WRT will have two crews with Marco Bonanomi, Oliver Jarvis, Edward Sandstrom as well as Christopher Haase, Christopher Mies and Stéphane Ortelli, while we will find Andrea Piccini, René Rast and Frank Stippler within Team Phoenix. The German team will enter Tom Kristensen for the first time in the Belgian double round alongside Marcel Fässler and André Lotterer, double winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Benoît Tréluyer. The Dane will have everything to discover since he has never driven the R8 LMS ultra in a race and has never driven with the two winning drivers in the Sarthe this month.
