Blancpain: Trio of choice for Pro GT

Pro GT by Almeras will enter two Porsche 997 GT3 R in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the first will be entrusted to a crew of specialists from the German brand: Anthony Beltoise, Henry Hassid and Roland Berville.

Blancpain: Trio of choice for Pro GT

Champion of France FFSAGT from its first attempt in 2011, the Montpellier team continued its rise and entered the international scene in Blancpain Endurance Series. Deux Porsche en configuration 2012 seront alignées (30 chevaux supplémentaires, rapports courts et palettes au volant), dont un châssis flambant neuve qui sera réceptionné lundi pour l?équipage de pointe, désormais connu, composé d?Anthony Beltoise, Henry Hassid et Roland Berville. Le premier, outre son titre national en GT la saison dernières, est quadruple champion de la Porsche Matmut Carrera Cup, le second y a remporté à quatre reprises le championnat B, tandis que le troisième, également victorieux du classement GT1 aux 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010, is a regular in the Cup.

"JI am very happy with the establishment of our first crew because the three drivers are among the best in their respective categories, underlines Philippe Almeras, the boss of the team. The drivers should be well prepared since they will be racing in these two championships. » Beltoise and Hassid will indeed make common cause in France on the circuits visited by the GT Tour, alongside the second car which will be entrusted to Laurent Cazenave and Jean-Claude Police, a third for a “mystery” crew being in the process of being negotiations.

On the second car intended for Blancpaina has already confirmed Antoine Leclerc. Seen last year in FIA GT1, the Vosges native will team up with a still undefined duo, which will be revealed before March 15. In the meantime, the team will carry out numerous test sessions over the coming weeks at Lédenon, Paul Ricard, Navarra (Spain) and Magny-Cours. “ These winter tests will also allow us to define the best combination of drivers to join Antoine Leclerc in the seat of the second car. », concluded Philippe Almeras.
