Beautiful duos at Matech

Matech Compétition will enter two magnificent Ford GTs in the FIA GT1 world championship this season. With a female crew, also announced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 12 and 13, and a pair combining a team regular and a former driver of Formula 1, the Swiss hope to be able to do well this year.

In the seat of the No. 5 we will find Enrique Bernoldi, 31 years old, who was very convincing last year in a Corvette C6.R, notably winning the Paul Ricard meeting with Roberto Streit. The Brazilian, who also took the start of 28 Formula 1 GPs within the Arrows team in 2001 and 2002, will have as his teammate the German Thomas Mutsch, 30 years old, for whom the team no longer has any secrets and who is delighted to share the car with the South American driver, as he declares on the championship website:

“I am very happy to share the car with Enrique. I've known him for a few years. He was very fast last year in FIA GT and I am convinced that we will form a very good duo this season?

The sister car (No. 6) will welcome the Swiss Natacha Gachnang (22 years old), notably seen in F2 and in Formula Le Mans last year and Cyndie Allemann (23 years old), who competed in the ADAC GT Masters in 2009.

Hostilities begin for the Swiss team on the weekend of April 18 in Abu Dhabi.
